On Tuesday, June 15th, Habitat for Humanity of Kent County kicked off one of its most extensive partnership projects to date. Habitat Kent will gut rehab four homes and build seven new homes to continue the revitalization of one of Grand Rapids’ most eclectic & diverse areas – the Wealthy Heights neighborhood of Eastown. The centerpiece of this development will be Michigan’s first Habitat Net‐Zero Energy Home offering a hard working family a nearly $0 energy bill at the end of the month. [read more]
